meet me

I’m Taylor, but you knew that already. A born-and-raised Michigan girl, I value the simple things in life: cute animal videos, true crime docs, and good beer.

My career in copywriting started in 2013 when I asked my college advisor how I could possibly graduate in time after dropping my major of two years. After much back and forth on the things I enjoyed doing most (writing, and that’s about it), we landed on advertising. That convenient decision forged an entirely new future for myself, rooted in my newly found passion for copywriting and brilliant advertising. Now, I live in Boulder, with plans to make my way back to the Mitten in the near future.

Beyond work, my days are filled with hanging out with my dog and boyfriend, listening to true crime podcasts (Serial is best of all time no question), and spending obscene amounts of money on candles. I also love hiking and camping in Colorado’s beautiful mountains whenever I’m not jetting off to Turks and Caicos on my private jet.

Questions & answers (that no one asked for)

Q. Favorite movie?

I’d say it’s impossible to choose, but it’s not. It’s gotta be the Goonies. Chunk is my spirit animal.

Q. Pineapple on pizza?

I get the concept, and I respect the originality. And to be honest, I’ll eat it if it’s there. But it’s a crime against nature.

Q. Corner brownie or middle square?

You know what they say– crunchiness is next to godliness.

Q. Favorite drink? (no more food questions I promise)

I’ve tried the wine thing, but to be honest, it tastes like bug spray. Cold, crisp beer is all I need.

Q. Favorite ad as of late?

This guy always makes me feel like both a total badass and a fragile bottle of emotions. Detroit pride forever.

Q. A story that sums me up?

I once inadvertently welcomed burglars into my home while I was at school and they stole my mom’s TV. More on that later.

Q. Friday night plans?

Plans, what’s that? My weekends are spent at home with my boyfriend, Anthony, and our canine child, Teddy.

Q. A song that always gets me in my feelings?

“It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” by Celine Dion. Or “Cherry Wine” by Hozier. Or countless others. I have a lot of feelings.

Q. A few bucket list items?

Ireland. Greece. Compete on the show Wipeout. Solve a cold case. You know, the usual.

Q. Favorite season?

Winter. I’m a Michigander down to my cold, icy core.

Meet Teddy, our 3 year old rescue dog. He’s a perfectly weird combination of American Bull Terrier, Blue Heeler, Rottweiler, Malinois, Shar-Pei (I told you, weird), and a whole mess of other breeds. Teddy loves long walks on the beach, tearing up socks, and running into walls when he’s too excited.
